A friend of mine recommended this book, and at first, I was very skeptical, because I don't really like the whole vampire/werewolf-in-love thing. Mostly because the genre, as a whole, often takes itself far too seriously. But not this book. Here, instead of endless googly-eyed stares and the tedium of gloomy teenage monologues, you get humor, suspense, and action--all in one book that you want to devour in a single gluttonous serving. What I liked most was how the humor of the first half of the book set up the action-packed latter half. You get your pound of flesh and pint of blood (in generous portions) on the back end, but while the action is building, the light characterization and overall levity keep the story going without bogging down.
At first you're reading it just to see what ridiculous thing is going to pop up next, but somewhere along the way, you start to care and truly want the unlikely lycanthrope underdogs to come out on top.
In short, these guys keep it light, yet build to a big and satisfying climax at the end. Awesome!
Two thumbs way up--can't wait to read the next one!

Blood Candy Fangs Deep Book 1 edition by Matthew Tomasetti Brian Casimiro Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews
The pace of the book is fast and fun. The misfits are the best part of the book. Would like to read more on them.
I just finished reading blood candy and i must say it was very different then most vampire/werewolf books i have read. I recommend it.I really enjoyed it. can't wait to read the next one.
Very funny with lots of action... have to admit I was routing for Blake though... bout to start the 2nd book though... we will see...
I read this on a recommendation of someone I work with. At first, I wasn't sure where the story was going or why it was going there. But it certainly grew on me! The characters are over the top, the paradies are pretty obvious, and there were a few hidden gems that gave me quite a chuckle. If you are looking for an easy fun read, try this! The second book also piqued my thirst (pun intended) and I can't wait for the third one to come out! Think Stephen King meets Twilight meets National Lampoon. An original twist on some very popular stories. Good stuff!
I highly recommend this series. I am a big vampire / werewolf fan.. Quick feel good read. I differ with some of the choices made by the main female character (Blake- yum, Chinese food-yum, 80's and 90's music-yum, British accents- yum) still enjoyable to see what's going to happen next. Purchased the other two books halfway through the first.
I really enjoyed this book. It was like a breath of fresh air. Even the serious parts were diluted with humor. I actually downloaded this thinking it would just be something different to read in between other books that I wanted to read and now I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
I love this book. It has supernatural characters warring and a great plot. I thought the pacing was very well timed. The story has interesting tools use to fight an obviously stronger enemy. That was a nice touch. The author really has a great depth to his cannon. Candy, the main character, was the obvious prize for the two different characters to fight over. She is a good combination of only human and damsel.
